Erm, Nokia Flexible Kinetic Display was in 2011?

My social network seems to be abuzz with Samsung’s flexible OLED screen announcement.

Yet it didn’t quite “wow” me – it’s not like they’re the first after all… And they weren’t the only ones at CES with a flexible display prototype. Even the concept of a screen surrounding the phone isn’t original.

That said it does seem like they will commercialise it faster, since Android is a much more flexible OS. Sigh, Nokia – first to so many things, but often overtaken: N-Gage, Unlimited Music, Polycarbonate unibody…

Let’s see what happens in the coming year.
